About Insurance
Many insurance providers now cover both Registered Psychotherapists, and Registered Social Workers, however it is up to you to check your individual insurance policy to ensure coverage, and the amount that you are covered for before you begin sessions. If you see a therapist who is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), in order to make a claim for therapist services with a Registered Psychotherapist, you may also need to provide the name and the registration number of that therapist’s supervisor.
Direct Billing
At this time Integra Skills Counselling does not offer direct billing. The main reason is that most insurance companies only allow Psychologists to do direct billing.
However, your insurance will allow you to pay up front for Psychotherapy, and then you simply submit your receipt to your provider for reimbursement – which often takes as little at 5-7 business days to arrive in your bank account.
Why Do Different Therapists Within A Clinic Charge Different Rates?
As with almost any profession, the longer a person works in a role, the more training and on-the-job experience they have gathered.
Another factor in the fee structure is the type of specialized training a therapist has taken. Some educational training is very costly and can take years to complete.
The rates connected with each therapist reflect their time working as a therapist as well as their specialized training.
